The Oblate Sisters founded Mount Aviat Academy in 1960 and have earned its reputation as a school of tradition, academic excellence and Salesian spirituality. What does Salesian spirituality mean? It means that the heart of an education at Mount Aviat is a gentle, caring approach to educating students in the spirit of Saint Francis de Sales: “Nothing is so strong as gentleness; nothing is so gentle as real strength.” The presence, guidance and leadership of the Oblate Sisters at Mount Aviat are what make it truly unique.

You can explore our Preschool and Kindergarten facilities, gymnasium, media center, science laboratory and so much more! We offer private tours as well as shadow visits for older students.
