During the 2017-2018 school year….


~ the Class of 2018 earned 14 scholarships to top area high schools, including: Padua Academy, St. Elizabeth’s HS, St. Mark’s HS, and Salesianum School.


~8th graders organized a school community "Carnival for a Cause", raising $1,400 for the Diocesean Hurricane Relief Fund. 


~ a school-wide Morning of Service inculded assembling "To-go" bags for the homeless, creating "thank you" cards for veterans, and holding a "sock drive" for the Newark Empowerment Center.


~ MAA's Future City Team was awarded Honorable Mention and Innovation in Sustainable Engineering at the Philadelphia Region STEM based engineering competition.


~ twenty 5th, 6th, & 7th graders competed in the Science Olympiad Invitational hosted by St. Mark’s HS, winning an impressive 19 First Place, 13 Second Place, and 3 Third Place medals in STEM based events.


~ three MAA students were awarded the local top three prizes in the VFW Patriot’s Pen Youth Essay Contest.


~ Advanced Math teacher, Mrs. Hanby, was featured in The Dialog for her commitment to teaching and sharing her talent in STEM with students.


~eight MAA students won the Knights of Columbus "Keep Christ in Christmas" drawing contest.


~ MAA's 6th grade class completed the DARE Program led by Cecil County Sheriff's Office.


~ 7th & 8th grade students, teachers & staff attended the March for Life in Washington, DC.


~ Service Club members held a bake sale, raising $371 for the earthquake victims in Mexico.


~ the 5th grade volleyball team captured 1st Place in the St. Mary Magdalene Junior Varsity Invitational Tournament.


~ MAA won first place at the Ursuline Academy Forensics competition.


~ 8th grade prepared a delicious lunch for the school community, raising $522 for the missions.


~ Service Club held a car wash, raising $272 for the Cecil County Pregnancy Center.
